Summary
Rare had plans to create a Donkey Kong Country title for the Virtual Boy, but the project was ultimately scrapped. Development only reached a basic platforming level, built using graphics from Donkey Kong Land and featuring rat enemies from Battletoads. A developer once mistakenly recalled it as an early build of Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest. No actual footage of the game has ever surfaced, though mock-ups have appeared online.
