Double Impact is an episode replacement PWAD for The Ultimate Doom, created by Matt Cibulas (RottKing) and Ralph Vickers (Ralphis). It was the winner of the 2011 18th Annual Cacowards and requires a limit-removing port to run. In its original PWAD format, it replaces all nine levels of Episode 1. On November 11, 2013, it was included in Freedoom: Phase 1 as part of the game's fourth chapter. On February 13, 2020, Double Impact became the first community-created mod to be officially adopted by Bethesda as an add-on for the Doom Classic Unity port. This version features a few changes. First, the intermission image, which originally used the cover art from the unlicensed Hungarian novel Doom - Tisztítótűz, was redesigned using the Eisen character from Quake Champions (specifically the Eisen skin with a cap and eyepatch). Another change involves modifying the d_e1m8 theme to eliminate references to the PSX Doom theme.
