Summary

Super Mario Bros could only be legally acquired in Doubutsu no Mori+, where 30 winners of a sweepstakes in Weekly Famitsu Vol. 678 in December 2001 received a Nintendo GameCube Memory Card containing the item data. The item can otherwise be obtained using a secret code tied to the player's name and their town's name; however, since Nintendo never provided an official code generator for Super Mario Bros, it can only be accessed through third-party code generators.
