Draconus
Summary
You take on the role of the hero, Frognum, as he embarks on a quest to reclaim his kingdom from the Tyrant beast. The game is primarily a platformer, where you run and leap through a series of screens—approximately one hundred in total, arranged in all four directions. As you progress, you'll face enemies like bats, balls, and giant rats, which generally follow set routes but can also swarm and pursue you. You have two main methods to defeat these foes: you can punch and claw them, or use your fire breath to incinerate them. Fire breathing has limited use, but you can occasionally restore it by collecting special items. In the C64 version, it's crucial to clear every enemy from a screen, as they will respawn if you leave and return without eliminating them. Your ultimate goal is to collect four unique abilities and prepare for the final showdown.
