Summary
Dragon Ball (also known as Dragon Ball: Le Secrets du Dragon and Dragon Ball: Shenron no Nazo) is the second video game in the Dragon Ball series (following Dragon Ball: Dragon Daihikyou) and the first Dragon Ball title developed and published by Bandai. It is an action game created by TOSE Software Company. The game launched on the Family Computer in Japan on November 27, 1986. A modified version was later released in North America in March 1988 under the name Dragon Power, which no longer used the Dragon Ball license. A European version, titled Dragon Ball and retaining the original license, was also released in 1990, mainly in France. Shenron no Nazo is featured as a bonus in the Japanese version of Dragon Ball: Origins 2 for Nintendo DS and is included in the game collection J Legend Retsuden for Nintendo 3DS.
Storyline
The game is based on the first two volumes of the Dragon Ball manga, where the young, monkey-tailed boy Goku, together with his teenage companion Bulma, sets out on a journey to locate all seven Dragon Balls. Legend has it that gathering them allows the possessor to make any wish they desire. During their adventure, they meet a variety of characters, such as the turtle hermit Master Roshi, the shape-shifting humanoid pig Oolong, and the desert outlaw Yamcha.
