
Dragon Ball Online was a massive multiplayer online role-playing game developed in Japan and South Korea by NTL, based within the Dragon Ball universe. The game is set on Earth, 216 years after Goku's departure. A beta test for Dragon Ball Online was initially announced to start in South Korea during the summer of 2007, but was postponed until January 2010. NTL Director Koji Takamiya expressed in multiple interviews his desire for the game to have a worldwide release. On September 26, 2013, the Korean servers were closed, and on October 31, 2013, the Hong Kong and Taiwan servers were also shut down.
