Summary

Roguelike games are making a comeback! Step into this thrilling adventure as a giant eyebrow boy or girl, where your mission is to defeat Lord Dredmor and rescue the kingdom from the clutches of darkness. Each level is a randomly generated floor composed of interconnected rooms, teeming with monsters, traps, loot, and unique objects. The game is turn-based and features an expansive skill tree! You can mix and match 7 distinct skills to create your own powerful combos and strategies, with excellent resistance and damage mechanics. The quest system offers a fresh twist—on each floor, you can pray to around 3 glowing statues, who will assign you missions (such as defeating a boss of the same floor level or uncovering hidden items). Upon completing a quest, you’ll be rewarded with an artifact, a special item that enhances your journey.

Storyline

Long ago, the Dark Lord Dredmor was sealed away in the deepest, darkest dungeons beneath the earth by legendary heroes of immense strength and courage. Centuries have passed, and the magical chains that once held him are beginning to weaken, allowing his power to surge once more. The land is in desperate need of a new champion—perhaps a mighty warrior or a wise arcane master, as foretold in the ancient prophecies. What it gets instead is you... Enter the Dungeons of Dredmor! Claim your fate! Confront evils beyond imagination—the relentless Swarmies, the wriggling Thrusties, and the lovable, nest-making Diggles. Pay homage to Inconsequentia, the Goddess of Trivial Side Quests, or seek the favor of the enigmatic and nameless Lutefisk God. Unleash devastating spells taught by the shadowy warlocks of the Necronomiconomics school, or call upon the Viking Runes of your forebears to unleash storms of thunder and lightning upon your enemies! Uncover the might of strange and powerful weapons like the Interdimensional Axe, the Plastic Ring, and the elusive Invisible Shield (if you can track it down). Equip shoes crafted by the Dwarven Glittersmiths, now all lost to despair and shame, and revel in the satisfaction of crushing giant, mustachioed brick demons with a mace adorned with gaudy, mouthwatering bacon.
