Halo Online was a free-to-play first-person shooter created by 343 Industries and Saber Interactive, and released by Microsoft Studios alongside Russian publisher Innova Systems. The game was built on a heavily modified version of the Halo 3 (Blam! Engine), tailored to run smoothly on less powerful PCs. A closed beta was held in Russia during the spring of 2015, but the project was ultimately scrapped with no intention to expand it beyond that region. In the years that followed, a fan-made mod known as ElDewrito brought the game back to life, enabling players around the world to enjoy it. The mod's Version 0.6 saw a surge in popularity, thanks to numerous new features that improved the game's stability and ease of use.
ElDewrito is a fan-created modification for Halo Online, a canceled PC game based on Halo 3 that was intended for the Russian market. It enables gameplay on player-run servers and seeks to bring back removed features, correct bugs and glitches, and introduce mod support.
