Summary

Racers can earn thousands of dollars by participating in hydroplane competitions, breaking track records, saving people in distress, and claiming cash rewards. These earnings can be used to fix or enhance different parts of the hydroplane, boosting its speed and keeping the driver competitive in the ever-challenging races. *Eliminator Boat Duel* features three difficulty settings: Easy, Normal, and Expert. Finishing a race on a lower difficulty level unlocks the next higher one. At each level, the player's hydroplane can take damage from collisions with animals, the rival's boat, and other fixed obstacles. A false start results in a $2,000 penalty. For most of the race, players view their hydroplane from an overhead perspective, with the screen scrolling in multiple directions; however, one section of the race shifts to a third-person tracking view. In single-player mode, the player first faces off against Seasick Sidney (Easy), Aquarius Rex (Normal), or Surfer Bob (Expert). After that, the player competes against Vicious Vicky, Weird Willy, Mangler Mike, Veronica Alabaster, and Disaster Don (the current World Champion), in order. To win, the player must defeat each opponent in one-on-one battles across three distinct race tracks. *Eliminator Boat Duel* includes 24 unique race tracks.
