Summary

Storyline
The narrative serves as a re-imagining of the classic novel *Journey to the West* by Wu Cheng'en. While the original tale is set in a mythical version of ancient China, the game takes place 150 years in a post-apocalyptic future after a devastating global war, where only fragments of humanity remain alongside the war machines still active from the conflict. Much like the original, the story centers on a character who must rely on the aid and protection of a powerful warrior, with many characters retaining the same names and roles. The game’s storyline was crafted by Alex Garland, featuring voice acting and motion capture by Andy Serkis and Lindsey Shaw.
