Every Day the Same Dream is a brief, 2D artistic game where players step into the shoes of a man on the brink of a life transformation. To complete the game, the player must break away from the set course.
Although the game doesn't follow a conventional narrative, it places the player in control of a white-collar worker, guiding their avatar through the monotony of daily life. If the avatar dresses, drives to work, and sits in their cubicle, the dream resets back to the starting bedroom scene. An elderly woman in the elevator delivers a mysterious line: "Five more steps and you will become a new person." When the player strays from the set routine and completes five specific actions, the dream resets in a changed state, with the player's avatar now the sole figure in the world. Upon returning to the office and passing the empty cubicles, the avatar pauses to witness an identical character jumping from the rooftop, marking the end of the game.
