A Formula One-licensed racing title for the PC Engine and the second entry in Nichibutsu's F1 Circus series. F1 Circus '91 is a top-down Formula One racing game featuring strong simulation aspects. Players customize their car, compete against notable Formula One drivers of the time in races that monitor vehicle damage and fuel levels. Because of the high speeds, players must watch for flashing icons that signal upcoming turns on the track. The game succeeded 1990's F1 Circus and was succeeded by 1992's F1 Circus '92. The series later transitioned to the Super Famicom as Super F1 Circus.
