Summary

The 1997 PlayStation release of *The Fantastic Four* is a beat 'em-up action game inspired by the Marvel Comics superhero group. Created by Probe Entertainment and distributed by Acclaim Entertainment, the title allows players to take control of Mr. Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, The Human Torch, The Thing, and She-Hulk, each offering distinct powers. Although a Sega Saturn edition was initially in development, it was eventually scrapped. Throughout the game, players battle enemies, tackle puzzles, and overcome challenges in a variety of stages, all while exploring the deep narrative of the Fantastic Four comics.

Storyline

Doctor Doom has created a device that sends the Fantastic Four to different locations to fight a variety of monsters and supervillains. Mr. Fantastic builds a time machine that enables the team to travel to Doom's small kingdom for the ultimate showdown. Although Galactus doesn't appear in the game, it's evident that he is responsible for the destruction of the Skrull homeworld.
