Storyline
Andre Bishop is a former boxer currently serving a sentence in a prison. After winning a tough boxing match inside the jail, he is ambushed and savagely attacked by multiple inmates, including the man he defeated. Bishop awakens in severe pain and disarray. The story then takes a step back four years to trace his journey as a rising professional fighter. Bishop's professional career kicks off with a victory over Joel Savon, a nine-time amateur champion, which catapults him into the spotlight as a promising contender. After a string of successful fights, he and his mentor, Gus Carisi, are approached by DL McQueen, a well-known fight promoter and long-time adversary of Carisi, who offers to promote Andre under the guidance of McQueen's daughter, Meagan. They decline, sparking a conflict between the corrupt promoter and Bishop. McQueen persistently tries to convince Andre to sign with him, but each attempt is met with refusal. Eventually, McQueen, with the help of two dishonest officers, frames Andre for assaulting a police officer. As a result, Andre is sentenced to over five years behind bars. Inside prison, Andre faces more betrayals and is brutally attacked in the showers after another round of fights. After recovering from his wounds, he starts training and maintaining his fitness while incarcerated. He becomes furious when he learns that his brother, Raymond, has become a professional heavyweight under McQueen Promotions—the very company that wronged him. After his release, Raymond arranges a job for Andre as an assistant trainer. Now a powerful heavyweight and a focused athlete, Andre dominates two ranked heavyweights during training sessions. Meagan later reaches out, offering to help him obtain a new professional license, having parted ways with her father's company due to their differences. Gus returns as Andre's coach and helps him stage an impressive comeback in the heavyweight division. After a series of successful fights, Andre's brother Raymond dares him to a bout to earn a shot at the world heavyweight title held by Isaac Frost. In the match, Andre is knocked down but stays down, giving Raymond the opportunity to fight for the belt. Raymond challenges Frost but is knocked out cold in the first round. Fueled by rage, Andre steps in and defeats Frost by knockout. He is crowned the new world heavyweight champion, and McQueen is arrested when the truth about his shady dealings and Andre's framing is exposed.
