Storyline

Ivalice—a realm graced by divine light and governed by the Two-Headed Lion. A year following his loss to Ordallia in the Fifty Years' War, the king fell to illness, leaving only a two-year-old heir to inherit the crown. The one chosen as regent would wield true power, and so two contenders arose: Dukes Goltanna and Larg, whose valor in the war had earned them great fame. Goltanna, the Black Lion, and Larg, the White Lion, were fated to oppose each other, sparking a conflict that would be remembered as the War of the Lions.
