Storyline

Final Fantasy VII tells the story of mercenary Cloud Strife, who is recruited by the eco-terrorist group AVALANCHE, led by Barret Wallace, to oppose the powerful Shinra Electric Power Company. Shinra seeks to exploit the planet’s life energy for profit. At first indifferent to the cause, Cloud fights primarily for personal reasons and a promise he made to his childhood friend Tifa Lockhart. As the story unfolds, he unites with a group of allies to save the planet from both Shinra and his archenemy, Sephiroth, ultimately finding a deeper purpose beyond his own interests.
