Storyline
Final Fantasy VIII takes place in a fantastical world infused with science fiction elements, centering on Squall Leonhart, a young SeeD mercenary who takes on missions assigned by Balamb Garden. Squall and his companions are recruited to assist a group called the Forest Owls, led by Rinoa Heartilly, which eventually leads to a larger conflict against the forces commanded by Sorceress Edea.
