Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers

Summary

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers is the third major expansion for Final Fantasy XIV Online. In this expansion, the Warrior of Light travels to the First, one of thirteen reflections of the Source that is being overwhelmed by a Flood of Light. The primary area explored is Norvrandt, which serves as a counterpart to Eorzea in the Source, and is the sole region in the world still untouched by the Flood of Light.

Storyline

Ala Mhigo has finally broken free from imperial domination, yet this hard-won freedom may be short-lived as the Empire seeks to reclaim this scarred land and bend all of Eorzea to its will. In their time of desperation, the people cannot look to the Warrior of Light for aid. Nor can they rely on the Scions, who remain in slumber, their spirits wandering. The realm must now face its trials without its champions, for they have been called beyond the bounds of time and space—summoned to the First. Here, a new journey begins in a world where light leads all to oblivion. But hope still flickers, for where there is light, there is shadow. Warrior of Light—embrace the darkness and carve a new destiny!
