Final Lap Twin is a blend of racing and role-playing game that launched on the PC Engine in 1989 and the TurboGrafx-16 in 1990, serving as a spin-off of the 1987 arcade title Final Lap. The main character embarks on a journey to honor the legacy of his father, a renowned racing champion. As he traverses the map, he encounters amateur racers and competes in races to earn money, which he uses to upgrade his vehicle. After defeating the local racing champions in each city, the protagonist must navigate a maze to obtain the final enhancements for his car before challenging the world racing champion.
