Summary

Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem is a remake of Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. It serves as the second Fire Emblem remake for the Nintendo DS and was released in Japan on July 15, 2010. The game incorporates the Wi-Fi Connection feature in a way similar to Shadow Dragon. It is the only Fire Emblem title for the DS that did not see a release outside of Japan. The game also includes an exclusive mode that reimagines the four chapters of BS Fire Emblem: Archanea Senki Hen, a game originally exclusive to the Satellaview. This mode features a new engine and mission-based gameplay (as opposed to the time-based system of the original), though it omits the voice acting that was present in the Satellaview version.

Storyline

The game follows Marth, the hero of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the original Mystery of the Emblem, as he battles through a conflict called the "War of Heroes." He is joined by a loyal companion—an Altean knight and war hero long erased from history, known as the "Hero of Shadow."
