Summary

In the arcade version, on a summer night in 1991, an enemy armada called the Strange Fleet made its way toward a small island in the Mediterranean Sea. When it arrived, only a few witnessed the arrival of the Strange Fleet. Two years later, as the Strange Fleet grew in strength, it sparked a global conflict. Few people around the world understood the threat posed by the Strange Fleet. As their attacks continued, many rallied against them, shouting, "Fire Shark! Fire Shark! It's time to launch!! Fight for us! Move! Move! Fire Shark!" The North American version is based on the Japanese "Same! Same! Same!" two-player edition, but it also features localized text and a slight slowdown in enemy bullet speed.
