FM 2014 introduces a revamped transfer system where opposing clubs and managers respond to transfer offers in a more realistic manner. A variety of new 'real world' transfer clauses have also been added, including the ability to loan a player back to the club he was just purchased from, the option to combine cash with loan players in a bid, and new contract terms such as a fee for appearances from the substitute bench. In addition, the traditional 'turn-based' method of conducting transfer negotiations is now available in two formats: the familiar original system and a new 'live' system, modeled after the one used in Football Manager's contract discussions.
