Formation Soccer: Human Cup '90 is a soccer game developed by Human Entertainment for the PC Engine, released exclusively in Japan. It marks the beginning of the Formation Soccer series, with many later titles in the franchise later appearing on the Super Famicom and Nintendo platforms as "Super Formation Soccer," much like Human's Fire Pro Wrestling series, which also transitioned to the Super Famicom and became "Super Fire Pro Wrestling." The game features a vertical-scrolling perspective of the soccer field. Created to coincide with the 1990 World Cup held in Italy, the game includes sixteen teams, although only eleven of them actually made it to the tournament. Players can choose between a single-game Exhibition mode and a tournament-style "Human Cup" mode. Available Teams The following sixteen teams are playable in either mode: Italy (hosts of the 1990 World Cup) Brazil The Netherlands U.S.S.R.
