Summary

Frets on Fire is a free, open-source music video game from Finland, developed by Unreal Voodoo. In the game, players use their keyboard to follow on-screen markers, aiming to earn points, boost their score multiplier, and successfully finish songs. The game took first place at the Assembly 2006 game development contest. It is programmed in Python and released under the GNU General Public License, though it also makes use of other free and open-source components under different licenses. Some of the game's included songs and internal fonts are proprietary, and cannot be redistributed outside the Frets on Fire executable.
