Summary

Fushigi no Gensoukyou 3 is a roguelike game developed by Aqua Style, set in the world of the Touhou Project series.

Storyline

Reimu Hakurei and Rinnosuke Morichika are relaxing at Kourindou on a rainy day. As they chat inside, something unusual occurs. The Gold Sphere that Rinnosuke is holding begins to react to an unknown force. Reimu notices it and becomes cursed by the Gold Sphere. Suddenly, she approaches Rinnosuke and attempts to take the Gold Sphere from him. Rinnosuke is shocked and tries to keep it from her. Even after Reimu regains her senses, she continues to try and grab the Gold Sphere as it begins to glow brighter. When lightning strikes near Kourindou, the Gold Sphere slips from Rinnosuke's hand and rolls to the ground. Rinnosuke shoves Reimu aside and rushes toward the sphere. As he reaches it, the Gold Sphere releases a strange energy, clearing the sky and turning it sunny. Reimu checks on Rinnosuke, but the strange power is actually dark in nature, and Rinnosuke has been taken over by the Gold Sphere's dark influence. Now known as Buyking, Rinnosuke wields the power to grant any wish. He has created numerous clones of Gensokyo's inhabitants to boost Kourindou's business and ensure its success. He challenges Reimu to a fight. Despite her efforts, Reimu is unable to defeat him and must flee from Kourindou to escape his grasp. Kourindou has now been transformed into the Awaritium Tower. On her way back to her shrine, Reimu encounters Mononobe no Futo, who decides to join her in ascending the tower to put an end to this crisis once and for all.
