Gimme a Break is an arcade-style cue sports game developed by Bally and Sente in 1985. It marked the first title in the second wave of games to utilize the SAC-I hardware. Players use a single button to position the cue ball and a trackball to control it during each shot. In two-player mode, one player is assigned the solid-colored balls (1 through 7), while the other targets the striped balls (9 through 15). In single-player mode, bonus rounds are included where players must sink special bonus balls to gain additional shots. If a player pockets three or more balls in a single shot, the game replays the action in slow motion as a highlight. Additionally, if a specific dip switch is activated, the game displays images of missing children during its attract mode — a feature also present in Bally and Sente's 1985 title, Mini Golf.
