Summary

Gitaroo Man is a rhythm-based video game showcasing visual art by Mitsuru Nakamura and a soundtrack composed by the Japanese band COIL. The game was later released on the PSP with a new name: Gitaroo Man Lives!

Storyline

The protagonist is U-1, a young boy often mocked by his classmates and overlooked by Little Pico, the girl he admires. The main story begins when Puma, a talking dog, teaches U-1 how to play the guitar, while also guiding the player through the game's controls. Puma then reveals that U-1 is the last legendary hero of Planet Gitaroo and the chosen wielder of the Last Gitaroo. After they come under attack, Puma transforms into Puma AC-30 and hands U-1 the Gitaroo, transforming him into Gitaroo Man.
