Summary

God Eater 2 Rage Burst is an upgraded edition of God Eater 2, bringing additional features and content to enrich the gameplay experience. A new story chapter called "Rage Burst" has been added, with main quests divided into six distinct difficulty tiers. This expansion introduces a new gameplay system called "Blood Rage," where players fill an Awakening Gauge through enemy attacks and then make a pledge to the God Arc once it activates, providing the player with various stat boosts. During the pledge selection, players can choose to activate temporary invincibility, though it will drain the Awakening Gauge. The update also includes new characters, enemy types, and additional weapon varieties.

Storyline

Three years following the events of *GOD EATER: Resurrection*, a strange crimson rain triggers a deadly global outbreak known as the Black Plague. With no known cure and a 100% fatality rate for those infected, the crisis threatens all of humanity. The Special Unit “Blood,” a branch of the Fenrir Organization, is deployed to aid in the response and uncover the truth. Step into the shoes of their latest recruit as you wield powerful weapons, battle colossal monsters, and team up with a legendary roster of characters in the fight to save mankind in *GOD EATER 2: Rage Burst*.
