Half-Life: Uplink is a demo version of Valve's 1998 first-person shooter computer game Half-Life. Uplink includes many of the familiar enemies, characters, and weapons found in the complete game, but unlike the original Half-Life demo and the Half-Life 2 demo, the setting and storyline in this version do not appear in Half-Life. The Uplink segments were removed during the development of Half-Life and loosely fit into the time period before or during the Lambda Core chapter; however, they were significantly altered for the demo. Uplink also features the same Hazard Course that appears in the full version of Half-Life. It was also included on "Official PlayStation Magazine Disc 57" as a bonus unlockable feature by entering a cheat code in the PS2 version of Half-Life and swapping the discs.
