Summary
The Blastacular Pack is a downloadable content add-on for Halo 2, introducing two new maps: Desolation and Tombstone. It was originally made available on April 17, 2007, for $4.00, and then updated and re-released on May 7, 2007, with several bugs in the content corrected. On July 7, 2007, the pack was permanently offered free of charge. This download was necessary to participate in Halo 2 matchmaking on Xbox Live. Both maps were developed by Certain Affinity rather than Bungie. Because it was released in 2007, the Blastacular Pack is not part of the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack or the PC version of Halo 2, making it no longer accessible for the original game. However, it is included in the release of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
