Summary
The Bonus Map Pack was the initial downloadable content for Halo 2, launched on April 25, 2005, at the same time as the Killtacular Pack. It introduced two new maps to Halo 2: Containment and Warlock. Provided as a free download supported by Mountain Dew, the pack was essential for participating in Halo 2 Matchmaking on Xbox Live prior to its closure in 2010. The map pack was later incorporated into the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack release, the Halo 2 PC version, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
