Summary
The Killtacular Pack is the second downloadable content expansion for Halo 2, introducing two new maps: Sanctuary and Turf. It was launched simultaneously with the Bonus Pack on April 25, 2005, at a price of $4.99, and became permanently free on June 28, 2005. At the time of its release, a "deluxe" playlist was added to Halo 2, enabling players to access the Killtacular Pack maps. However, the download was necessary to participate in standard Halo 2 matchmaking on Xbox Live after the pack was made free—until Halo 2's online multiplayer was shut down in 2010. The Killtacular Pack was later bundled in the Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack, the Halo 2 PC version, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
