Summary

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince allows players to explore Hogwarts and cast spells on various objects throughout the school, much like the previous game. It also features multiplayer activities, class participation, changing times of day, Quidditch, Wizard Duels, and potion crafting. The Marauder's Map is part of the game, with new sections unlocking as you progress. Harry can summon Nearly Headless Nick to guide him through the castle. While Harry is the primary character to play as, Ron and Ginny can be controlled in two specific levels.

Storyline

In *Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince*, Dumbledore readies Harry for the inevitable final confrontation, knowing that Voldemort is rapidly gaining control over both the Muggle and magical realms. Working side by side, they seek the means to break through Voldemort's defenses, and in pursuit of this goal, Dumbledore enlists the aid of his longtime friend and well-connected, yet oblivious, socialite Professor Horace Slughorn, who he suspects possesses vital knowledge about the source of Voldemort's strength.
