Summary
Two years after being released on other platforms, the current consoles received their own version of the game based on the first *Harry Potter* book and movie. Just like the computer and PlayStation editions, the game follows Harry’s first year at the magical school Hogwarts as a 3D action-adventure. The game is divided into days and nights: during the day, Harry attends classes where he typically learns new spells, while the more exciting events take place at night, when he sneaks through the castle to do things like facing Draco Malfoy in a duel, battling a troll in the dungeons, and reenacting other key moments from the story. Most of the game involves platforming, with Harry needing to leap across gaps and carefully navigate narrow ledges. Enemies often block his path, requiring him to use the right spells to defeat them, and magic is also essential for solving some puzzles. At night, Harry must avoid the castle’s patrolling prefects or risk being sent back to his common room. The game also includes broomstick flying, featuring a Quidditch match against the Slytherin team.
Storyline
The story centers on main character Harry Potter, who learns he has magical abilities and is enrolled at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where he forms friendships, gains magical education, and joins his companions in preventing Lord Voldemort from regaining power.
