Harukanaru Augusta 2: Masters is a follow-up to the original Harukanaru Augusta golf title, maintaining a gameplay style and system very similar to its predecessor. A key highlight of the game is the inclusion of the Augusta National golf course, officially licensed by the Augusta National Golf Club. Players control their golfer from a third-person viewpoint, with a mini-map of the current hole shown on the right side of the screen. The main menu provides several game modes, including Masters, Tournament, Stroke Play, Match, and Training. The ball's movement is affected by the terrain type and the exact point of contact between the club and the ball during the swing. Wind influences shot direction, and the game also features environmental effects such as rain.
