Summary
A mecha-based strategy title from Masaya. Hisou Kihei is a tactical game featuring mostly mecha, or robotic units. It was exclusive to the PC Engine and came out shortly after Masaya's other mecha strategy game, Gaiflame. In each mission, the Serds—a group of specialized combat mecha—are launched from their command ship, Altea. Each Serd has a single-letter designation and unique abilities: for instance, the G-Serd uses a laser sword for powerful close-range strikes and has high mobility, while the B-Serd specializes in long-distance mortar attacks but moves slowly. The namesake X-Serd is the most formidable unit in the squad.
