Summary

Hogs of War is a turn-based tactical game where players alternate controlling individual members of their hog squad in battle against the enemy, much like Worms. On each turn, a player takes control of one squad member from a third-person viewpoint, navigating the terrain by jumping over obstacles and swimming across water, though combat can only occur when the hog is stationary. Each turn has a time limit and concludes when the timer runs out, the player passes, a weapon or ability is activated, or the hog accidentally harms itself—such as stepping on a mine or falling from a height. Additional dangers include bodies of water, which, although swimmable, gradually deplete health. If an opponent pushes a teammate into water, the hog will automatically swim toward the nearest shore. Though challenging, it's also possible to push hogs off the map, resulting in immediate death. If a hog loses all health while on land, it will collapse with a humorous final quip before exploding.
