Summary
Ignition is a fast-paced racing game presented from a top-down, slightly rear perspective. The selection of vehicles includes a police car, VW Beetle, school bus, and truck, each with unique abilities and drawbacks. Attempting to win using the bus—by trapping opponents behind the notoriously slow vehicle for three full laps—offers one of the greatest challenges in the game. At the start, five tracks are available, along with practice mode, single races, and a full championship spanning three difficulty levels. Completing each of the first two levels unlocks an additional track. Every course is filled with hazards and moments where you must decide between a cautious path or a bold, high-risk maneuver that could pay off. Multiplayer options include network play or split-screen, which divides the screen vertically—breaking from the usual horizontal split.
