Indiana Jones’ Greatest Adventures is a 1994 platform video game launched for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. It serves as a video game adaptation of the Indiana Jones films Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). The title was developed by Factor 5 and published by JVC Musical Industries, Inc. The narrative is conveyed through cutscenes and text, staying largely true to the original movies. It was released alongside Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, another title from JVC and LucasArts, and designed in the same platform format as the Super Star Wars series. A Sega Mega Drive/Genesis version of the game was reportedly finished and prepared for release between summer and fall of 1995. It was previewed in GamePro (issue #73, August 1995, scoring 3.5 out of 5.0) and in Germany's GAMERS (November 1995 edition, earning a 2 (B Grade)). However, like many third-party titles toward the end of the Genesis' lifespan, the game was ultimately canceled and never made available. The game was later re-released on the Wii's Virtual Console service on November 16, 2009, and in the PAL region on April 23, 2010, for 800 Nintendo Points.
