Summary

Harnessing her incredible Neon abilities, Fetch takes center stage in *Infamous: First Light*, a standalone mini-game powered by the visually impressive *Infamous: Second Son* engine. The game continues the story from *Second Son*, yet stands alone and can be enjoyed without owning the original title.

Storyline

Abigail "Fetch" Walker, a young Conduit held in the D.U.P.'s Curdun Cay prison, is instructed to demonstrate her abilities to Brooke Augustine by fighting holographic enemies crafted by another Conduit, Eugene. Afterward, she is asked to recount the events that led to her arrest. Seven years prior, Abigail was among the first new Conduits to appear after The Beast devastated the countryside. Though her parents initially tried to manage the situation, they had little choice when Abigail accidentally hurt a classmate. Her older brother, Brent Walker, quickly took her and fled. The two turned to drugs to deal with their struggles, but Brent eventually quit and even hid Abigail's stash to help her recover. He also urged her to limit her power use to avoid drawing attention. For years, Brent worked with gangs to raise money for a boat, intending to escape from Seattle to Canada, where the D.U.P. had no jurisdiction. However, two years ago, just as the plan was set to begin, the Russian mobsters known as the Akurans destroyed the boat, captured Brent, and nearly killed Abigail with a bomb. Using her powers, she survived and began searching for her brother. She soon encountered Shane, one of Brent's old contacts and a minor drug dealer also seeking Brent. Shane exploited Abigail's inexperience, using her to nearly single-handedly win a gang war against the Akurans. When they finally locate Brent, Shane takes him hostage and forces Abigail to help him dominate Seattle's drug trade. In the present, Augustine suggests that Abigail's new abilities may be a result of trauma, a coping mechanism. Augustine agrees to let Abigail continue her story on the condition that she demonstrates all her powers, allowing her to battle holograms of D.U.P. Troops. After completing the latest challenges, Abigail continues her tale. Jenny, another of Shane's employees working in the city's tech support, offers to help find Brent. She has narrowed down his possible location to four shipping containers scattered around the city. As Abigail searches the crates, she finds that Brent isn't in any of them. Meanwhile, Shane, now aware of their efforts, tracks them down and kills Jenny. Shane then uses Abigail to gain the police's favor, having her attack the force while he negotiates with the chief. The chief agrees to Shane's demands, provided that Abigail leaves Seattle and never returns.
