Island Xtreme Stunts combines multiple genres into one cohesive game. Players navigate a LEGO-style open world, engaging in activities like skateboarding, driving, flying, and piloting various vehicles while executing stunts and tricks, all while battling the villainous Brickster. You play as Pepper Roni, the main stunt performer in a major film production set on LEGO Island. Although the game allows free exploration, it also features a storyline spread across 25 stunt-based missions. Exploring the world in a third-person perspective, the controls are straightforward and lack the complex trick combinations found in similar stunt-focused games. This makes it easy to learn and play, especially for younger audiences, who can focus on completing missions without worrying about complicated button sequences. Players only need to perform basic tricks with a few simple inputs to progress.
Pepper Roni is set to star in an action-packed film being shot on Lego Island, appropriately named "Xtreme Stunts." The Brickster, who somehow returned to Lego Island, has been freed from prison after claiming he's turned over a new leaf and is now playing a role in the movie. After executing a publicity stunt involving a motorbike leap through a massive poster, Pepper is taken to the first major scene, where he engages in a high-speed car chase on the freeway in pursuit of the Brickster, who ironically plays the main antagonist. Once that scene wraps up, Pepper is granted full access to Lego Island, letting him explore and take on side missions while continuing the film's production in various locations across the island. As the player advances through the missions, it becomes increasingly clear that the Brickster has ulterior motives. Eventually, he captures the Infomaniac and unveils a towering structure built by his Brickster-Bots, housing a supercomputer designed to dismantle the entire world. Pepper, of course, steps in to save the day while the host attempts to shut down the machine. Pepper outsmarts and captures the Brickster, and the supercomputer is reprogrammed to dismantle the tower instead, allowing the film to wrap up and be released on time (which the player can watch after finishing the game). In the end, Pepper gains access to every part of the island, enabling him to replay movie scenes and take on new challenges. The game also adds a bit more to the established story, such as explaining why the Legondos disbanded.
