Storyline

DJ Professor K runs the underground radio station Jet Set Radio, broadcasting to rebellious youth gangs who skate and spray graffiti across Tokyo-to. Among them are the GGs, who battle for territory against the all-girl Love Shockers in Shibuya-Cho's shopping areas, the cyborg-driven Noise Tanks in the Benten entertainment zone, and the kaiju-obsessed Poison Jam in the Kogane docks. The city's authorities, under the command of Captain Onishima, hunt the gangs using riot squads and military equipment. After the GGs win turf battles against Poison Jam, Noise Tanks, and Love Shockers, each gang leaves behind a fragment of a strange vinyl record. Professor K warns that the mysterious record has the power to summon a demon. The GGs are joined by Combo and Cube, who reveal that their home, Grind City, has been taken over by the Rokkaku corporate empire. They beg the GGs to help rescue their captured friend, Coin, from Rokkaku's clutches. The Rokkaku chase the GGs and seize the vinyl record. Poison Jam later discloses that Rokkaku's CEO, Goji Rokkaku, intends to use the record to make a pact with the demon and conquer the world. The GGs defeat Goji on the rooftop of his headquarters by smashing his turntable. The streets of Tokyo-to are freed once more. Combo then reveals that *The Devil's Contract* was just an old record with no real power, and that Goji's obsession with wealth had driven him to madness.
