Kabobber began as a prototype developed by Rex Bradford, who is also known for his contributions to Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Jedi Arena. It was uncovered in 2000 and slightly refined before being made available to the public in ROM form. Kabobbers are quirky (yet adorable) little beings with a penchant for causing chaos. The goal is to deploy your Buvskies to krush the Kabobbers before they krush you. Up to nine Buvskies can be onscreen at once, with additional reserves waiting offscreen should one be defeated. You maneuver your Buvskies across the grid, leaping on enemy Kabobbers to eliminate them and gain more reserve Buvskies. Baby Buvskies grow into full-sized ones after defeating an enemy. As the game progresses, the enemies become increasingly challenging, requiring precise timing in the later levels. Most importantly, you must reach Princess Buvsky before she reaches the rainbow energy at the level's end and consumes it. A truly unique title, and surprisingly enjoyable.
