Summary
Killzone Liberation follows the story of the PS2 title Killzone. A new addition to the series is the top-down and third-person viewpoint, replacing the original game's first-person shooter format. Midway through combat, players can switch to a tactical overview to strategize their next moves. The screen zooms out, time slows, and icons appear to highlight available actions and objectives. The game features a complete set of Ad Hoc multiplayer options, including both cooperative and competitive modes like Deathmatch, Assault, and Capture the Flag, supporting up to six players.
Storyline
Two months following the events of *Killzone*, much of southern Vekta remains under Helghast occupation. As the Helghast General Metrac resorts to increasingly ruthless tactics to gain the upper hand and solidify his dominance, the laws of war are abandoned. Once again taking on the role of Templar, the player embarks on a secret mission to rescue hostages held by Metrac, while ISA forces push forward in their struggle for freedom.
