Summary

King's Field is a first-person 3D role-playing game set within the subterranean tomb of the kingdom of Verdite. Players step into the shoes of Jean, who ventures through three-dimensional dungeons alone in this dark fantasy realm, armed with a sword and magical abilities. Numerous trials lie ahead for Jean, and players will feel a deep sense of achievement when they conquer the game's demanding obstacles.

Storyline

Nestled within a dense forest, shrouded in mist and swirling winds, lay a quiet land known as Verdite. Long ago, during a terrible war where countless lives were lost, Verdite was rescued by a mysterious figure who then vanished into the woods. Only the ever-moving fog of the forest held the truth of who that figure had been... The people of Verdite came to revere their rescuer as the Forest Dragon, erecting a sacred sanctuary in their honor. Over time, the sanctuary faded into myth, transformed into the Royal Graveyard, and silence settled over the land. Yet the legend persists: "One day, the Dragon of the Forest shall return, carrying the Magical Artifacts." But that day has not yet arrived, and the Sanctuary remains in deep slumber...
