Summary

This video game is set during a fictional apocalyptic conflict between a dark, malevolent force and a radiant, righteous one. The monarchs of both kingdoms are required to take part in the fighting; a practice common for kings in the Middle Ages but not typically for queens. Although the game is set in a medieval world, it doesn't portray any specific cultures of Medieval Europe in opposition. Players can choose to support either side, and both factions have equally powerful units. The game's military units are inspired by Western high fantasy (such as paladins rather than samurai). Combat is handled in an arcade style (real-time with button mashing), rather than the traditional approach of strategy or role-playing games (which are either turn-based or real-time without button mashing). To win the game and overcome the opponent, a player must either eliminate all of the enemy's units or seize all of their castles. Victory leads to a celebratory screen, while defeat results in a game over.
