Summary

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a third-person action-adventure game featuring an open-world hub. In contrast to earlier Lego titles, where the story had to be experienced in a linear fashion, players can now begin with any of the main Skywalker Saga episodes and complete them in the order they prefer. Each episode includes its own hub, filled with planets from the corresponding movie that players can visit and explore. Every episode consists of five story missions, making for a total of 45 levels. The combat system has been overhauled, with lightsaber battles now incorporating a range of combos using light strikes, heavy strikes, and Force abilities, while blaster-wielding characters feature an over-the-shoulder camera similar to many third-person shooters. The game's hub will also include random encounters. For instance, an Imperial Star Destroyer might unexpectedly emerge from hyperspace and dispatch a wave of TIE Fighters to pursue the player. Players can choose to participate in aerial combat or ignore the threat and continue with the story. The game will include over 200 playable characters, although TT Games has indicated that this number may vary.
