Life Force is an intense action shooter featuring six levels that switch between side-scrolling and vertical-scrolling formats, each concluding with a formidable guardian. The game supports single-player action or simultaneous two-player gameplay.
Storyline
Calling all Viper Pilots—the galaxy is once again teetering on the brink of destruction! You've already saved the people of Gradius from the monstrous Bacterions. But now, in Life Force, an even more deadly threat has crawled into the cosmos. It's Zelos, a planet-devouring alien whose insatiable hunger is set on destroying you! This time, you won't be facing the danger alone. A valiant ally from the planet Latis will join you, piloting the mighty RoadBritish space warship to your side. Together, you'll seek out powerful upgrades—ripple lasers, plutonic missiles, and unbreakable force fields—to turn the tide. But you'll need precision. This isn't just another run-of-the-mill space menace. To defeat him, you must dive deep into his core, survive his deadly defenses, and finally destroy his heart. Good luck, Commander. The fate of the galaxy rests in your hands!
