Storyline

The game is set right after the events of LittleBigPlanet 2. In Story Mode, Sackboy is up against The Hoard, who are trying to steal the Craftverse's treasures just for the sake of collecting them. The story begins with Sackboy jumping into a cart that was wrecked by a Hoard member, then chasing them to recover the stolen items. Sackboy speeds through various locations that have been looted by the Hoard, with the help of the Sackbots along the way. The journey starts when the Queen tasks Sackboy with driving the Hoard out of LittleBigPlanet. Next, he heads to a tropical island-like world known as Monster Islands, where a local named Ray the Turtle asks for help finding the legendary Huge Monster. When they finally locate her, they learn the Hoard have taken her egg, so Sackboy must retrieve it. Meanwhile, the Hoard also try to steal "brainergy" and pastries from Victoria's Laboratory, which is now its own separate planet.
