Macho Mouse is an arcade game developed and released by Techstar in 1982. It utilizes the same hardware originally introduced by Amenip and Centuri for Round-Up, featuring two Zilog Z80 processors operating at 3.072 and 2.5 MHz, alongside two General Instrument AY-3-8910 chips at 1.536 MHz for sound. The player controls the titular "Macho Mouse" using a four-way joystick, navigating through a maze while leaving a trail of dots behind—similar to Pac-Man but in reverse. As the mouse moves, images of its head appear on the screen, and the player must avoid cats that will kill the mouse on contact. Like in Konami's Amidar, players can press a button to make Macho Mouse jump and temporarily stun the cats. Between levels, a "slot machine" mini-game appears, reminiscent of the one in Chuo Co., Ltd.'s Funny Mouse, which was later re-released by Taito Corporation as "Super Mouse."
